Hamburg, Germany

We spent 2 days/3 nights in Hamburg for the wedding. We met Todd & Kristy for dinner on Thursday night at a Tapas Restaurant and after several beers ended the evening with some tequila shots. Friday afternoon we attended the civil ceremony and reception in the old docks/warehouse district where they have redeveloped many of the warehouses into loft style shopping and event locations. All the warehouses are served by canals for movement of goods. Friday evening we had dinner again with T&K at a typical German restaurant. Saturday we took a boat trip and that evening we attended a formal dinner. We left at 12:30am and the party was just getting started. As we trudged out of the hotel the next morning at 7am to catch a train, we learned that the party had just left the restaurant and moved to a suite in the hotel. Now that's a party.
