The Brees Family spent the latter half of their August West Coast trip in San Clemente, CA visiting jeb's college buddy Walt Baxter and his family (wife Amy and son Ryan). We spent most of the time at the beach (without the cameras) but we took a day at Legoland. Simon and Ryan had a great time... and most everything was made of Lego.

Swimming Lessons (July)
Druid Hills July 4th Parade
The neighborhood next door to ours holds an odd 4th of July Parade where YOU are the parade. Essentially, it's a whole crowd of neighbors following a makeshift band around the block. Kids decorate their bikes and parants visit.

Lake Charles, LA (May07)
The Brees Family visited Lake Charles, LA (and Grandma Millie) in May. We had a great time visiting with Grandma Millie, playing at the park and in the fountain. We took a field trip down through the marshes to Holly Beach (on the Gulf). On the way back to Houston for our flight home, we visited the Battleship Texas.

Lake Charles Visit (May07)
Lake Nantahala, NC (April 2007)
We spent a long weekend at a lake house on Lake Nantahala with Jeb's parents and Stacy's sister Heidi and her husband Chris. The weather was perfect and the lake was crystal clear. There was much eating, sleeping, canoeing, and even some shooting (the boys went out to shoot Jeb's "weapons of animal destruction").
Lake Nantahala is a small lake located in the middle of nowhere in the Western-most sliver of NC. For those who pay attention to the news, its about 20 miles from the little town of Andrews, where Eric Rudolph (1996 Olympic bomber) was caught sifting through a dumpster behind an Ingles grocery store (the nearest store to the house and where we typically stop for the final few supplies). There is nothing but national forest all around and its so quiet your ears ring at night.
