Three Island Lake Hike

We spent a good portion of the day hiking up to Three Island Lake. This is a high alpine lake about 1,000 feet below the continential divide. It was a Monday in September so we were alone the entire hike and saw only some game birds, chipmonks and deer. Upon reaching the lake we found complete solitude. The only sound was the periodic thud of snow falling off evergreens and the wind breathing lightly through the leaves.

Playing at Tio Raul's House

Tio Raul had us over for a dinner with some friends and we walked down to the neighborhood park with the kids. Simon played on the jungle gym and then decided he wanted to try the big-boy swing.
