L5P Halloween
Simon is going as a golden retriever puppy this Halloween. We dressed him up early for the L5P Halloween Parade. Simon didn't have the patience to last the parade so we took off for home. We discovered our neighbors, Jake and Caroline, just got a 2 month old golden retriever puppy. With the golden coats and red collars, Simon and Jackson (real puppy) looked exactly alike. They chased each other around for about 30 minutes and it was a hoot to watch.
Mt. Arabia Park
We read about this State Park just to the East of town that we'd never heard of before. It's an old partially used quarry site that was donated to the state. Most of the trails are over solid granite. In the autumn the granite fields come alive with yellow confederate daisies. We went for a weekday hike and had a great time. Simon picked flowers, threw rocks, and we hiked across the granite and through the woods.
